The New Welsh Assembly Building

It's a real shame that this building is being wasted on a bunch of second rate politicians as it's beautiful. There's a real feeling of space and openness and the use of contrasting glass, slate and wood works brilliantly. The building was opened by The Queen on St David's day (1st March) 2006 and I took this shot a few days later. I think the reflections of the clouds in the glass adds a real feeling of depth to the scene. I'm sure that there are many other interesting angles to photograph and I look forward to getting back down Cardiff Bay really soon.
